We first met on Hinge in 2019, both East coast souls who had both found their way west to San Diego. We immediately connected over shared roots, similar upbringings, and that feeling of being a little far from home. Even with that connection, the timing wasn’t quite right, and we ended up going our separate ways.

Then in 2020, when everything slowed down during the COVID shutdown, we reconnected. What started as a simple message turned into real, consistent conversations. With fewer distractions and more time to talk, we got to know each other in a deeper and more meaningful way than before. What had started as a brief connection grew into something strong and steady. Looking back, it feels like we just needed the right timing and a second chance to build what we have now.
